October Farm Tours
Each October Stone Bridge Farm offers a "Picture Yourself at a Cranberry Harvest" opportunity! Your visit includes a talk about the history of cranberries, cranberry farming, and harvesting equipment. You will have the opportunity to see antique cranberry equipment. We then walk you down to the bogs where we have one bog that will be flooded, with cranberries floating for you to see. You actually put on a pair of chest waders and walk out onto the bog with cranberries floating around you. Bring your camera or we will take the photos. (weather permitting). We have these tours available every day only throughout the month of October-7 days a week. Tours typically start at 9 am with the last tour at approximately 4 pm. We are not able to conduct the tours in severe weather, but a rainy day is not an issue. The cost for the tour is $25.00 per person with children 5 and under free. There is a $25.00 deposit due at the time of the booking. (This $25 is deducted from your total amount due.) RESERVATIONS ARE NECESSARY.
Bring a picnic and have a relaxing lunch as you observe our cranberry bogs and local wildlife and plants. Tables and restrooms available.
Take home a piece of Cape Cod. Be sure to stop in our "Cranberry Cottage" for fresh cranberries, coffee mugs, aprons, coasters, t-shirts and hats to remember your trip.
Interested in taking part? Contact us today and we can let you know the dates and times available to visit. Although we operate the cranberry bogs year round, the "Picture Yourself" tour takes place in October only.
